The Future is Arriving Faster Than You Think!

If you’re under 65, there is a robot in your future-at work, at home or at the store. This brown bag session will sharpen your critical thinking skills about technology as a driver of change and the future. You’ll increase your understanding of the coming Cybernetic Revolution, three myths about change and how it will work at the global level in the 21st century. The session will focus on how robots are evolving into the “game changer” for businesses and nonprofits within the coming decade.

A major component will focus on how scenario planning skills can be used to prepare for the future.  Wikipedia describes "scenario planning, also called scenario thinking or scenario analysis, as a strategic planning method that some organizations use to make flexible long-term plans.  It is in large part an adaptation and generalization of classic methods used by military intelligence.
